Hello and welcome to our 2023 Winter newsletter and quarterly update.
Winter is here! The mornings and evenings are definitely seeing the mercury start to drop a little compared to previous months. Thankfully, at least for now, the sun is still shining pretty brightly for the most part. Sunny skies are great for getting out and about and spending time with family and friends.
At the risk of jinxing things, the warmer, and so far dryer winter weather, should also make it a little easier for building and construction projects and renovations to continue relatively uninterrupted. This would not usually be the case as we head into the colder, wetter months so we are definitely looking forward to keeping busy and making the most of it.
While the weather is looking favourable, as we have reported on before, material shortages continue to be a problem across the building industry. In addition, like so many other industries at the moment, it is also challenging to find skilled workers to bolster the workforce. Both of these factors can contribute to making it difficult to keep up with the consistent high demand for new building and renovation projects.
It’s not impossible to find a team of amazing employees though. At Harrington Kitchens we are proud to have built a great team of designers, skilled tradespeople and support staff, a lot of who have been with us for many, many years and we hope will stay with us for many years to come.
We’d like to take this opportunity to welcome our newest team member, Elisha! After finishing school last year, Elisha has joined us as a 1st year cabinet-making apprentice and we are looking forward to watching her achieve great things as she learns her craft from our amazing team. It is so great to have you on board Elisha.
We are very thankful that despite the challenges we find ourselves still as busy as ever – designing and manufacturing a wide range of stunning kitchen projects across Sydney and the Southern Highlands. While kitchens are of course our principal product, it’s exciting that we often get the opportunity to expand the projects to include our incredible joinery throughout other areas of the home too, such as the laundry, bathroom, and living areas.
We absolutely love seeing the popular trends and choices that become evident as we work with our customers to design their kitchens. Incorporating a shade of blue or green is very popular at the moment as people opt for a splash of colour and interest in their space. Similarly, the use of gold accessories such as handles and tapware, which are a great, and relatively simple way, to add a sense of luxury and sophistication to any kitchen. We look forward to working with the unique and amazing projects that will come our way over the next few months and beyond.
