Country Theme Two-Tone Hamptons Kitchen Colo Vale
Colo Vale, a northern village of the Southern Highlands, provided an opportunity for our clients to upgrade an old timber kitchen for the refinement of the Hamptons style. This house wasn’t your traditional highlands cottage, yet a 30-year-old brick home so it became Harrington’s brief to encompass a mixture of the old and the new. The timeless VJ Panelling and our latest 21mm Shaker profile, fused this brief into completion.
It was decided a matte Dulux White on White for most of the cabinetry. Isolating the island to Dulux Ito for a colour match to the freestanding SMEG range coHT589oker.
Not one, but two bi-folding appliance centres sit over Smartstone’s DaVinci Blanco with a 40mm mitred edge. Each of these four bifolding doors have perforated metal inserts that are painted in Dulux Malay grey for depth and variety to the white cabinetry.
A SMEG integrated dishwasher sits camouflaged to the right of one of the most unique concrete butlers sink from Schots Home Emporium. A clever decision by the client to make the sink the hero with no distractions of a freestanding appliance.
Side by side pantries use the lineal properties of the V-groove to acknowledge their generous ceiling heights. Unlike the handless cabinets over the cooktop, it was decided to use traditional Birchfield handles in an Antique Pewter from Kethy for all base and tall cabinets.
A tall, well-lit glass cabinet completes the kitchen as a showcase of their worldwide travels. If these aren’t a talking point for their guests, this kitchen sure will be.
