Fresh Contemporary Kitchen
Elderslie

The mandate for this stunning kitchen in a shaded pale green was simplicity with a touch of elegance. Our clients were downsizing and wanted a fresher and more purposeful layout and design to suit their lifestyle as they transitioned into retirement.
They mixed both contemporary design with the traditional, using Colorado profile doors and vertical v groove board with curves and woodgrain open shelves. Mesh door inserts were paint matched to the doors in the soft, muted pale grey green of Polytec’s Pallido Smooth, a “sleek/flat surface with minimal reflectance”.
The contemporary lines of the kitchen were softened using clever curved island end panels bringing a touch of “Scandi” into the kitchen.
This theme is carried through with the use of Polytec woodmatt boxes in Plantation Ash, sitting either side of the integrated Westinghouse rangehood and allowing for decorative items to create a focal point of interest within the kitchen cabinetry.
The industrial look of Smartstone’s Concrete Grigio in the new Sintered Range gives the benchtops a wonderful concrete matt finish look which perfectly compliments the raw exposed brickwork in the home. The Carysil Concrete Grey undermount sink and Nero Mecca tap in white are superb choices.
The Kethy Oak finish handles carry the warm timber theme throughout the kitchen and laundry/pantry. The use of fingerpull upper cabinetry throughout, continues the streamlined contemporary look.
A sleek induction cooktop has been used, along with an integrated Fysher & Pykel dish draw which is discretely placed near the sink.
Stylish white overhead drop pendants line the benchtop and compliment the white rattan and timber bar stools. A kitchen that will still be fresh in years to come.
