Hand Painted Antique Kitchen Oak Flats
It’s not often that we get asked by a client to produce a kitchen with such a meticulous hand painted luxurious finish. This kitchen, along with butlers pantry, laundry, TV Unit and fireplace have been manufactured in Harrington Kitchen’s special medium antiquing, that produces a soft, subtle aged look.
Dulux Lexicon quarter strength, together with Dulux Domino created this stunning look and the traditional profile chosen throughout, is perfect for this kind of detailing. Proud kicks on the island have been designed to match the house skirting boards which brings another level of considered luxury throughout the residence.
Both the kitchen and butlers pantry are highlighted with the soft taupes and greys of Caesarstone Bianco Drift, with 40mm mitred edges throughout and 60mm on the island. A matching splashback creates a seamless feel and a pot filler takes pride of place beneath the decorative rangehood canopy.
The black Falcon freestanding oven continues the traditional feel of the kitchen, along with the double throated satin nickel gooseneck tap which sits in the middle of the island above the double bowled Turner Hasting Novi butlers sink Our clients chose a fully integrated Fysher & Pykel dishwasher which has been nicely placed in the kitchen island.
The final flourish in the kitchen is the stunning black glass and metal pendants which hang perfectly on either side of the island.
A second Turner Hastings drop in sink and microwave are snugly fitted into the hidden butlers pantry which includes the warmth of American White Oak timber shelving.
The laundry showcases a wonderful fluted single Turner Hasting Novi butlers sink. All handles are satin nickel on the cabinetry in the modern, yet still traditional look of the Bondi handle from Handle House.
The fireplace has a gorgeous mantle and base of Precious White honed marble. True luxury in the winter!
A matching TV unit and display cabinet sit at opposite ends of the kitchen, in the living room and continue the hand painted luxurious finish. The x-framed glass panels in both the TV unit and kitchen, not only compliment the shape of the glass and metal pendants in the kitchen, but create some interest in the glass panels of the TV unit and with the internal upper cabinetry lighting, perfectly reflect the treasured items displayed.
Finally, a modern look alfresco kitchen has been installed. Using the Polytec Alfresco Range in Boxed Brush Grey this kitchen has been paired with Caesarstone’s outdoor stone range in the colour Midday with 40mm mitred edges. A matching stone splashback ensures that the BBQ and cooking area remain clean and dirt free.
Classic and luxurious – the cabinetry is sure to stand the test of time for years to come.
