Light Filled Tasteful Kitchen Robertson
Our clients wanted a country style feel for their Hamptons kitchen on their farm in the beautiful Southern Highlands region of Robertson.
The vaulted ceilings with timber beams create a light filled, open space to the kitchen which is situated in the lower section of the room. In keeping with the country theme our clients opted for timber accents throughout, using timber shelving on either side of the integrated rangehood and in the hidden butlers pantry. Windows in the kitchen have cleverly been used as a bar/snack area with a timber table and matching timber bar stools.
The island painted in Dulux Ramona Green is the feature point of the kitchen and the country theme is continued with the use of cross hatching as the profiles of the island sides.
The natural warmth of the room is carried through with the use of Dulux Hogsbristle in quarter strength for the remaining cabinetry.
A Turner & Hastings double butlers sink sits in the centre of the island with a traditional mixer tap in polished nickel to match the kitchen knobs and Momo New Hampton cup handles.
V groove board has been used for the walls of the pantry, and our clients chose pre low silica Smartstone Calacutta Gold in a 40mm mitred edge. The warmth of the veinings is the perfect choice for the timber shelving and Dulux Hogsbristle in the cabinetry.
A Fisher & Pykel freestanding oven was chosen, along with a Fisher & Pykel integrated rangehood. A Neo Chef Smart Inverter microwave is nicely situated in the hidden butler pantry and the Miele dishwasher in the island makes for easy cleaning whilst still allowing our clients to be social with guests and family.
A practical, yet stylish study in Dulux Hogsbristle and laundry in Dulux Ramona Green completes this tasteful renovation.
